Its a 4x4 with a 351 in it single cab long bed ect.. problem is it wont move under its own power. the lady that owns it claims her father had it moving playing with the t-case.. then he put it back into park and they havent got it to move sence... note they havent messed with it much.. they pushed it to where it is now so that tells me its not the rear diff.. and ideas..

Sounds to me like the transfer case is stuck in neutral. Does the floor shifter for the t-case move into 2H? My 89 F-150 is stuck. It will go between 2H and 4H but not into N or 4L. I've yet to check the linkage (many other projects just yet).

dont know probably going to pick up the truck tomorrow.. i was thinking something along those lines or some messed up or disconnected linkagae somewhere.. when the tranny is put into gear it drops rpm and sounds like its engaging but i havent sat in it and played with it and i dont recall if the engine just spun a high rpm when put into drive like it was in neutral or if it bogged down like a load was on it... tomorrow i should have more answers and will update but if the t-case is stuck in neutral how hard is it to get it into a drive gear to atleast get it home.. (truck is on base about 5 miles to where im taking it also on base)

I have an 89 F-250 that had the exact same problem that Hunt4Fun is having. The shifter for the transfer case has to be pulled back then to the left and back farther for nuetral then back again for 4 low. Where the shifter comes out of the T case it sits in a channel. Over time the channel fills with dirt and the shifter won't move to the left. I cleaned the packed in dirt out of the channel and it works just fine. Try that first.
