i have a 6" suspension lift on my 97 f350, and i fit 38" TSL's. the front sits a tad lower than the back still, but nothing hits. theyre on 10" wheels, but the real knobby lugs on the outer edges of the tsl's rub on my leafs when i turn really really sharp.
i think with only 3" up front, you might be cutting it really close. of course, then you might want to trim your fenders, but i really dont like how it looks on these trucks, plus i have no reason to cut up a rust free body.
id say it also kinda depends on your preferance for looks. i happen to like it when theres alot of space between the fender well and the tire, even on 44's, so i lift it more. you may like the tires to look like theyre tucked pretty good, leading you to lift less and trim fenders.
all in all, i still think you *might* rub a little bit if you really flex that thing out.
I just dont wanna lose the rear overload. That is why i dont like the shakel reversal that goes with the 5" sky lift. Because i still need to pull a gooseneck everynow and then. I dont want any less than 36"s so i dont know i might just have to go with the 5" lift
