Thanks For All The Help, I Got The Top Bushing Replace Yhis Afternoon And It Took A Lot Of Slop Out Of The Shifter But That Other Bushing Looks Like Bugger To Get O But Since I Got Would Like To Replace It. Any Points On How To Get It Replaced
My Problem With The Truck To Start This Job Was It Was Not Going Into Park, With The Top Bushing Things Are Better But Still Not Right Yet. Is There Adjustment On The Cable To Make It Just Push A Little Farther, Also Where The Cable Fits On The Shifter Arm Their Is No Retainer And It Is Riding On The End Of The Pin Which Might Be Part Of My Problem.
take the nuts off the bottom of the shaft
and drop the column down about 4 inches
also check the bolts that hold the eccentric on the bottom of
the shifter
this is where the cable attaches
the bolts are known to loosen and also cause shifting problems
