A/C Problem
My 1993 f150 4x4 has an ac problem, when the engine is under a load the a/c will switch from the vent to the defrost. I have concluded that it is a vacuum problem, and the a/c will blow through the vents again if I let completely off the accelerator. I have heard that this is a common problem with all brands of older vehicles. Has anyone else had this problem with their f150? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is Very Frustrating!!!!

Yes, My '85 F150 reg cab did that. There is a switch that needs to be replaced. But that was back in '95 when that happened. Seems like one of the AC/temp controls?
I remember it was aggravating. When you step on the throttle it would shift to the defrost mode. meanwhile your sweating your butt off.
