Weirdness on 97 f150
hello all,
Having some weirdness with my truck and I wanted to run it by you all.
First the truck details.
1997 f150 extended cab, 4.6l v8 4x4. 130k miles on it. I've owned the truck a little over a year and there wasn't much of a history that carfax or the dealer the truck originally went to had on file. Suffice to say I've replaced the spark plugs and wires when I bought the truck (original set)
Over the last 3 weeks I've noticed that when I shift the truck while driving the truck stutters when I give it gas, seems to happen when I shift into 2 to 5th gear, however if I ease the gas pedal down the stutter is much less noticeable.
So I went and had the oil, transmission and transfer case fluid flushed and redone. The stutter is still there no change either way. I'm also getting the cel and went and had the codes pulled p1450. I'm going to check the suggested items I've searched for here to see If I can clear the cel code.
Now here's my question. Not knowing the history of the truck is it possible that a fuel filter could be causing the stutter and/or the cel light to come on?
I put 15k miles on the truck in the year I've had it so it hasn't been sitting, and the stutter and cel are a new issue.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Welcome to FTE cbtl.
It wouldn't hurt anything to change the fuel filter but, P1450 is a EVAP system monitor code for excessive vacuum. The book officially says that this could be caused by blocked vapor lines between the Fuel Tank Pressure Transducer (FTPT) and the Canister Vent Solenoid, or a stuck open Vapor Management Valve (VMV).
Goo luck!
