I have a 95 351 Bronco that starts fine but hesitates and sputters when I accelerate. This lasts about 30 seconds, then it seems to smooth out. Once it is warm, it runs just fine.
The spark plugs are about one year old. The MAS is about two years old. I have not run any codes.
The plugs are ngk and run a tad bit hotter than stock since my engine uses alot of oil. The fuel filter was replaced about 1.5 years ago. Cap and rotor I will do.
the ngk are junk, so install some motorcraft or autolite copper plugs. i would replace the fuel filter as well. how old are the plug wires and dont forget to pull codes www.fordfuelinjection.com has instructions
I wanted to let you know that i ran the codes and I don't have them with me, but they were 311, 528-I think, and 636-I think. There was one for the thermactor-which is plugged and non-operational, one was the overdirve which wasn't runed on for the terst, and the last was the power steering whcih was performed during ther test. So, it was nothing.
I did change the spark plugs and rotor. Huge difference and I think that was it. I bought Motorcraft plugs. I will remember that nnext time.
