Radio has gone crazy!
Need a little help diagnosing radio problem.
3 weeks ago on a trip, radio started spontaneously going into "seek" mode with every little bump. Happened for about 10 minutes, then stopped.
2 days ago, same thing.
Today, does it non-stop. Decided to listen to CD's in 6-changer, and it too was seeking through the cd's non-stop and would not play. However, the single CD player works fine.
Anyone ever had this problem? If so, what is the source and/or solution.
If no easy fix, how hard is it to find a replacement that will work with the 6 cd changer and what can I expect to pay on the low end?

This seems to indicate a logic circuit malfunction in the factory HU. It could be as simple as a loose harness connection or more complex as internal HU circuits are activating on their own. I'd look for the simple first, but anticipate the latter. (Repair or replace the factory HU)
Consider removing the HU, take off the covers and give it a good cleaning with IPA, Rubbing Alcohol) and a toothbrush. Most boards in these HU's use a no-clean soldering flux processes and over time, they collect moisture and begin to act up. A good cleaning may fix this one. If not, replace the HU. I've noticed the 6 disk audiophile head units being sold on eBay from time to time.
