I thought so. Glad I'm not crazy. THat's not always a good thing
Alright, I went and looked at it again (Yes, I had seen it) and then I also looked at thishttp://www.gosracing.com/inc/sdetail/2267
Now, IF I get the unit that allows me low and high beams at the same time, can I still add the better harness for more voltage and to be able to hook up MORE/extra lights?
Or, since I will be hooking up extra lights, should I simply skip the low and high beam together option?
I DID buy the silverstars by the way, just haven't installed them yet. MY cheapo ebay bulbs REALLY suck!
Also, on the upgraded harness, it says "Will NOT work with Daytime Running Lights!"
Which lights are those? I don't have those on my standard 05 Limited do I? Isn't that the stuff that you usually have like in the spoiler in front?
Also, is 69 bucks about the best price for the good harness?
We do not have daytime running lites on our 05 Ex...
(that the one that stay on ALL the time - I guess ferd thought if'n ya ain't seeing an 8000 lb vehicle that is 7 foot tall and 22 foot long - what good is a few watts of lites in the daytime gonna do )
I opted not to get upgraded wattage in my bulbs, but did get the harness...
asked about putting 100 watters in the headlights and he suggested not if I was going to do the lows and highs together - just too much heat ...
the harness is only for your headlights... to make up for the poor stock harness...
any aftermarket lites will have their own harness....
have fun and word to the wise.. if u are getting the harness, wait to put in the silverstars....
put tape on the sharp body corners around the lights and PAY ATTENTION to the orientation as you pull the od bulbs out...
The sheet metal around the battery - front end area could do a job on your wrist as you twist and turn down in there I taped up the corners to lessen the slit wrist
Orientation...
the bulbs have three "lugs" - different size if I recall and can only go in one way...
problem is that you are upside down and backwards trying to figure it out which way is the 12:00 oclock position if you don't pull the batteries to see
I put HID's on my 2000 EX they work great i get lighting at night the color i got is called crystal diamond they give an intense white beam with a light yellow and blue tint they can be seen from a couple of miles.
adams, I understand. Mine WERE a pain to put on and I will probably cut that plastic corner off that's in the way on the LEFT light.
dreyes, any pictures at night of these lights?
WHAT did you get, where and how much and what's the difference from the stock headlights or are these extra lights?

Hey Guru i will owe you the pictures coming very soon i will try to put some this week. And i replaced the stock headlights and these are at least 10 times stronger you can bye them pretty much in any custom auto stores they run for around $150.00 and know they have them in almost every application my 2000 EX uses the 9007 bulbs these last longer and are much brighter that the stock hologen bulbs. If you dont know what they are you usually see them on expensive luxury cars like mercedes and bmw.
Guys, do you know if this is what they bought on the group buy? Was theirs a complete headlight assembly or just HID bulbs or something?
dreyes, were they $150 each and how many watt HID were they? DOn't you need a ballast or something?
They are around $150 a pair and yes they come with the ballast as for the wattage on the packaging it stated 10000k. As soon as i take some pics i will post them.
for the most light output, go with a 4300k-5000K. the K is the light temp in KELVIN. the higher the light output, the lower the temp. down to about 4300k. then it goes to like 3000k. that is a dark yellow. for fog lights. bad for headlights. and the wattage is 35 watts. there are ballasts that are 50watt, but you wont find many of them.. just remember to get a system that has 4 ballasts and a dual capsule. that way you will have both high and low beams. i have a system from CATZ. its the 4300k, rising white. if you want, pm me if you want to buy it. its a 9007 system and it comes with a controller that gives you high and lows. that way it will plug right into your factory headlight housing. i had it in my X before i did the 06 conversion.
and 10,000 is like a dark purple. with horrible light output.
