That's really a hell of an idea. Many times in the past, I've sometimes held the thing back so I can get both at the same time. That is the ideal light but I plan on trying to achieve that without having to resort to holding something manually or in this case, using this product.
I can't find it on that site by the way. Can you send me a direct link or a model number?
Will that harness also replace the other one AND handle more power because I AM putting more headlights on..?
George, i meant that you should mount those lights behind your grille. I have see 3 round lights behind the grille of a 250 once. It looks really good.
I guess they have different models now then...
the westin I put on the 03 Ex would hold 5 lights at least IIRC
2 on top and 3 on the bottom...
I just put the 2 piaa's on the top and the stock fogs on the bottom (of course though with 9005's in them https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=25206&width=0
By the way. I talked to a dude today that does truck accessories and stuff and he said that I should get fog lights for regular driving as it would give me a better light and NOT driving lights...?
I thought a combination of TWO types of light, one set for wider beam on the side of the road a bit and the other set for distance but I thought DRIVING and a more narrow beam, I wasn't thinking FOG and DRIVING..?
installation is simple just follow them, one of the wires is kinda long that goes to your 12v source, i just coiled and tie-wrapped. the inst. say to go to the hot side of the solenoid, i just went to the battery post then BAAAAMMMMM! lights went on and works great. good luck
guiri, I was also not impressed with the high beams so I bought a wiring harness that keeps your driving lights on when you turn on the high beams, I was impressed with the difference. The link is mrtaillight.com I think I paid $20.00 for the harnes and it took maybe 20 min. to install.
schrods, in this e mail you're talking about a harness that lets you have both the driving and high beams on but the link you sent me is for the fog lights to stay on with your high beams..?
technically i think they refer to the driving lights as fog lights because the X doesn't have daytime driving lights, and they are only on when you have low beams on.
Gotcha, so when I see these harnesses they all refer to the fog lights in my case?
I thought there was a way to have your LOW beams AND your high beams on. NOw that would be nice coverage but of course, it'll probably burn the hell outta the bulb too
