cam tensioners
have an 02 lightning that has gone thru 4 cam tensioners since jan only put 200 miles on it and are getting noisy again dealer is going to replace again but is stumped on why this problem keeps coming back got plenty of oil pressure so thats out any help out there? thanks

You will want to cruise through the tech forums and stop in the Lightning forum. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and you'll find it straight away. There is also a forum for the 5.4 motor that may be of help so look them over.

just an update on tensioners put #5 and#6 in truck and when put back together were still noisy and not working right dealer pulled front off motor and watched motor to see whats going on werent working like check valve was bad in tensioner put on another and when they started truck it lost pressure and jumped 3-4 teeth on timing and bent 2 valves glad its under warranty and was just idling would hate to have that happen under boost oooouch will update later
