fuel tank
does anyone have an in cab tank? i need a new fuel tank, but cannot find one. mine is so full of crap i have to keep extra fuel filters in my truck. so i want tp fix it the right way. if i can?

Getting fuel tanks cleaned and relined is getting harder and harder. Damn EPA. There's only one place in a 50 mile radius of me that can still do it. and they want a small forturne for their service.
Try to get an inhibited hydrochloric acid (muriatic) and let is sit in the tank for a day or two. clean'er right out. You have to line it with something after though... POR-15 makes a tank liner, as does Kreem and a few others.

usually the radiator shops used to do it. All of them around me got shut down because they failed to meet the guidlines for their Indirect Discharge Permits.
To continue doing it, they would have to upgrade their waste treatment systems. Big $$$ and jump through all kinds of hoops for the new regulations. Most figued it wasn't worth the hassle.
I figure it's only a matter of time till everyone else starts seeing this problem. "Coming to a radatior shop near you!"
So if you've always been meaning to have you tank done, now's the time.
