I have been trying different fuel additives to get rid of an injector knock, I used all of the usual off the shelf fuel additives at the local auto parts store and none of them made a difference.
I tried using a fuel additive called Fire Power 404 it’s sold by Lubrication Specialties Inc, they also happen to be an FTE sponsor.
Using the Fire Power 404 the injector knock is all but gone but wait it gets better, there is a noticeable increase in power and when I am not abusing the new found power I am getting 2-3 mpg more than I was before.
So just incase I wasn’t clear, I really like this stuff and would highly recommend it to anyone that likes more power and better fuel mileage.

Sounds pretty good, and at 8 cents per gallon of fuel to use it, it sure sounds like it will more than pay for itself - even in it only got you a 1 MPG increase.
Too bad they don't sell it with a small dose of their LubriPower 402 mixed in and then it would satisfy the need for additional pump lubrication too.
Keep us updated on whether the mileage increase is sustainable and whether it improves as time goes by. It may be worth the cost. of using it in addition to DieselKleen...
I believe the only problem with atf fluid is that it has red dye in it. the dye that is in it the problem it colors your fuel red . That could be huge problem if you were to get your fuel inspected
I believe there is a clear ATF on the market. We got a sample of it years ago at the one shop I was at. I will have to call my old bos up and see if he remembers what it was called.
I did think about the red dye, but I keep the most recent fuel reciepts and always fill up at the same petrol station so they know me (hell everyone in this town knows me) so I have proof it is ATF. Might P155 them off but it would never stick in court.

Have a nice fourth, I will have a fith on the fourth
What kind of fuel additive do you use? Do you think the power 404 stuff would work? I have an aux. tank tied into front tank that will hold 80 or so gallons then I have the factory rear tank, 20gallons I think. I would like to make sure injector pump is lubed properly and imoprove performance. Thanks and God Bless, John
A quart of ATF is what, around $2? Mixing that with 12 gallons of fuel means your cost per gallon to treat the fuel is about 16 cents.
I use DieselKleen I buy in the 96 ounce bottle at WalMart. I mix it 1 ounce per 3 gallons fuel (1:384) which is really close to their recommended 1:400 mix ratio, and the cost per gallon to treat the fuel is between 5-6 cents.
No red dye to worry about, it is specifically made to lube and clean the pump and injectors, PLUS it boosts your cetane value 3 points.
I doubt that ATF is going to give you nearly as much benefit, and at 2-3 times the cost per gallon, this one seems pretty much like a no-brainer to me.....
