Well, I'm going on vacation next week. My parents and I are going to Hunstville, its a long drive from here but we love the area, me especially. We are going to be staying at a resort on Lake Vernon. We plan on spending some time in Algonquin park and a day walking around downtown and the rest just relaxing at the resort, maybe do some fishing. My question to you guys is anybody know any good places to visit or things going on in the area besides the park and the other major tourist attractions? What about some fishing tips for a person with modest fishing skills?
jus tgo get a really small ultralight bush rod one very similar to an ice fisshing rod, stock up on a few #0 mepps spinners and go cast into ant small stream you see and you would likely get into a few speckles mmmmm specks i like specks
And you can try a few topwater baits like a floating plug with the propellers front and back. Cast them near overhanging banks and shoreline docks for bass. It's a blast having them hit the topwaters. just let them float there a bit and twitch them along 3-4 inches at a time. Less snags too. Hoolapoppers are fun to when the suns going down till the mosquitoes drive you in.
