Greetings!

Wow, I am so glad to find this site! I just purchased my dream vehicle a few weeks ago, an 02 Escape XLT. I have admired them for years. As my bro says, we were born with blue ovals stamped on our rears, so I'm glad to be back in a Ford.

I'm getting ready to go out now and start investigating a cylinder 6 misfire code that popped up a few days ago. Since I bought used at 110,886, I'm not sure that it's ever had the plugs replaced. The dealer is pretty far away, so I'm trying to diagnose it myself. Luckily I have an ase mechanic snoring upstairs if I need help.

I am going to purchase the Chilton Manual for the 3.o soon, but I did find the excellent post on how to replace your spark plugs so I'm feeling comfortable about what I'll be seeing once I take the cover off.

Thanks for having this forum as a backup to the do-it-yourselfers!

Welcome!

Great to hear the site is helping you out. I understand about being born with a blue oval on your rear. My doctor is always surprised to see that my blood is blue. Be sure and checkout the state chapters to find other enthusiasts like yourself. They are located at the bottom of the Forums list.

Enjoy the site!
