360cam

looking at the comp cams page and it is confusing. what would be the best for a very stock 360 still 2brl stock mani. sotck valve train everything is new from rebuild last august. 513 gears with 37's headers and duals. pretty much from idle to 4000 around there? any help or where else to look

Stock lift for the 360 cam was a .427in/.431ex. If your still using the non adjustable rockers keep lift .535 max. The stock 360 cam was also used in some 390 2v and 4v's thru the years. The stock 390GT/428CJ cam was .481in/.490ex.
Crower, Lunati, ClaySmith, Holman Moody.
The other thing you want to be certain your valve springs can handle the lift of the cam you choose. Or swap them to match....

I had the same setup with a 1976 2WD 360CI. I changed to a Comp cam (260H, I think) and it is fine. However the stock cam was great, I got decent mileage and power when I put headers, a Carter AFB carb, and 390 4bbl intake from a T-bird on it. I had a T18 tranny, 3.08 gearing, and even scored 19 mpg once.
