lol, sorry man.... i was starting to feel sick. i was sunburnt, tired, hungry as hell, and dehydrated. i was gonna call you and tell you i was leaving bu my phone wouldnt stay on long enough to complete a call. i did call you when i got back to the house though. sorry you went out there and i wasnt there but i just couldnt stay out any longer! i did get the front axle completely torn down minus the pinion (cant get the nut off (shutup perv!)) so the rest should be easy. gonna work on tearing the rear axle apart tom so that i can do both at the same time!

the maz is badarse! never seen a front wheel drive car do a burnout with the wheel turning in the tire you get new tires for it?

you know my bender is available anytime you wanna build a cage! i need to go get it anyways! gotta figure out a good place to mount it OR do a hydro setup!

Fishy, I think yall need some therapy. Maybe the kind with a brass pole and dollar bills, but some kind of therapy. But I hear ya on too many projects. We actually got to go mud racing 2 weeks ago. I broke a stub shaft before I even got in the mud....I didn't push the shifter far enough forward and I launched in front wheel drive only.....SNAP!! Oh well.

As far as on topic for the tread....I've got an old 80 F100 with a tired blown 460. But it's fun.

Yeah ko its a kick out for extra capacity, i got that from rob from his old cleveland comp. motor after he blew it up, i had to do some fixing on it. As far as the the build i'm running aset of 4v quench heads new valvetrain, roller rockers, screwin adjustable studs, guide plates, etc, the exhaust ports have been cleaned up and some minor port work, then the cam well we have a comp cams 275deh, but we told the machinest he could change it if he can do better annd not go over our budget (he had roller on his mind ) um its a fully balance rotating assembly, i'm running zero deck flatops with the block and heads milled to get the cr in the 11.5:1 range if not higher, um then on top its a rousch intake off an old cleveand pro stock motor, and a set of price intake spacers, then a worked over holley 750dp, and a hei ignition for the simpl;icty of only using 1 wire for that, combine with a one wire alt. and you got a very easy electrical system .

a few little things also include a centerforce dual friction cermanic 12" clutch, a couple oiling system mods, and the aforemention 1 wire alt and factory fopr sag ps pump .

If I read what you said earlier corretly, you are going to convert it to hydraulic, as in not just a hyd. bottle jack, but a cylinder & pump?

I didn't get more than 10º on my first bend before I bent the hell out of my lower roller bolt, so I don't know how well type of bender works. Ordered one that was tempered and a DOM sleeve for it... Should be here any day now.

thats correct... a elec over hydro pump, long ram, and all the hoses and a directional valve

my main reason for going hydro is not speed or even accuracy (although it should be much more accurate) but the ability to build the bender into a cart and make it as portable as possible. i HATE punching holes in BRAND new concrete if i dont have to!

what wall thickness tube were you attempting to bend? and what bender?

i think the manual bender sucks because of the limited ability to bend!!! you can just roll it outside the shop and start bending...its got to be bolted to a base or a trailer hitch or a trailer or something with room to feed 20 foot friggin sticks in it

Looks good mustang!!! why dont you think about a litte larger cam? seems like you would want it for this build??

Uh oh, whatd you dun go get cutts? IR?????? awawaw

Hell yea free cars are fun, but im actually debating makeing this one road worthy and selling it to mexicans or something andmaking a decent profit on it. Im already getting bored with teh high speed cornering and jumping it...the suspension isnt the type R so it doesnt perform right...i need a neuspeed seatbelt and sticker i guess

Hey cutts, i got a new project...we need to make a 6 foot stinger for the maz...its kind of nose heavy once shes airborn

Homemade bender modeled after the Protools one kinda, but looks like this
http://www.metalwebnews.com/howto/tu...be-bender.html
I'll take a pic after it gets painted.

Bending .125x1.5" DOM on a 5" radius die... Bolt was only a 8" long x 1" diameter grade 8, so it wasn't too suprising that it bent...

Mine doesn't have to be bolted to anything...

its the hush hushness factor, i got the big heads and high compression (relatively speaking anyway) that make power that isn't necessarily easy to detect, and with keeping the cam smaller i can hide the power (well kinda, smoother idle type of thing) and run in the lower classes and kick ***, then jump up and kick the crap out of the bigger guys cause since i'm only 35x16 boggers and 4.10 gears, i'll should be able to get them spinning more than fast enough to get some good floatation action

heres a vid of something i'd be able to compete against for kicks and giggles: http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/...y/media/540318

http://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/...roducts_id=689

and i bought it for way less than that!

o yea and an IR 2135Ti "1000ft/lbs of 'nut-busting' torque"

How about something with like 114 lobe seperation to give good idle and vaccum and something in the 240ish @.050 range duration for a little mid-hi rpm spunk?
