6.9 in 71 highboy?
I am wondering if it can be done and what is involved. I may have access to a 83 6.9 and want to repower my 71 f250 with a Diesel. I would have the whole truck for parts, including all drivetrain. Thanks for your info.

theres info on doing the swap...i'd google and search this forum. BTW 'high boy' is reserved for '73-77 f25 4x4. And the classic car of old.
I'm wanting to refit a '75 with a cummings in a couple years. They are more reasonable now days and a far better engine than the 6.9 imo. Kits are readily available
