exhaust questions

i have a 99 f150 ext cab long bed.. 4.6l 4x4. i wanted to get the new flowmaster super 44's.. i want it to be louddd. what size pipe should i get? are 2 flowmasters a lot louder than the one in and two out? and what does the x/h pipe do? and should i get one? thanks for any help.

also i am going to keep the cats bc i need any problems down the road.

If you are going with true duals I would stick with stock sized pipe. As for the x and h pipes, they balance the exhaust pulses between the two pipes in order to get better gas scavenging and to balance the sound.

Go with 2.5 inch for dualsand definately get the x pipe...it'll make it cound better and supposedly increase your torque.Mine'sloud enough but now i don't have back pressure...then again....straight with burned out glasspacks and heads always are loud.
