I have an 07 F250 PSD. I have 28,000 on her. To my knowledge the fuel filters have not been changed. She seems to running OK. Should I change them. What if any spec. tools are required. Where are the filters located. I have been working in N/W Wyoming since last December. The fuel that we have up here is a 50/50 mix of bio diesle I have been told.
Thanks,
Ken Bailey
You should check out the tech folder, 1st in this section listing, as well as the diesel listing tech folder. It has written instructions on how to do it. There are two fuel filters on the 6.0, primary on the drivers side frame rail under the truck. This takes a 32 mm socket to remove the filter and a 6mm hex wrench to remove the fuel drain plug.
On top of the engine (next to the oil filter) is the secondary filter which needs to be replaced as well. They are sold in sets. I get mine from IH/Navistar dealer for about $32.00 a set.
