Chip or Programmer
OK I just traded in my 95 f350 for an 03 F250, I am tyring to find out a couple of things. What am I better off buying a chip or a programmer, and if so what is the better brand. I pull a trailer around often but usually nothing over 5k, but most of my driving is commute. I am looking to add hp and inprove gas mileage and am really new to the "tuning" world. I appreciate any help and input. I also have another question. What size is the gas tank in the 03 cc sb.

i am sure that alot of people are going to suggest the DP tuner i hear its great i am thinking about switching to it myself. Your fuel tank i beleive it is a 29 gallon on the short bed. DP tuner is one of the FTE sponsers you should check out there web site link would be on the left side of page.

There are several good tuners out there, I would stay away from a generic tuner such as EDGE and Superchips...

Chip-programmer
Programmers have come a long way the last year or so with the download updates and custom program download getting more common. I owned a few different programmers but never felt I was getting it all. The hard chip was a eye opener and the custom programming is unreal. I'd have to lean toward the chip.

My buddy has a Diablo programmer and he does nothing but complain about having to re-tune all the time. He rode with me not too long ago and was astonished when he saw me change tunes on the fly with my Diesel Innovations tuner. Now he wants to dump what he has and take a little ride to Houston.
