Wheel noise
I have a 2001 Explorer Sport and just recently started hearing a low siren like sound coming from the front right tire while driving anywhere from 20 mph and up. The faster I go the higher pitch it gets. Any ideas or solutions?

probably wheel bearing - hub. this is a 4 x 4? you can jack tire up off the ground, take off the tire and brake so you can rotate by hand and listen for the noise. kind of hard to hear at that speed. cost is about $100 on e-bay or $200 at Auto Zone if you do it yourself.

if you have the money i would replace the other side as well. when one goes out the other is not far behind, at least on my wifes 2000 explorer, the left went out then about 1000 miles later the right did the same.
