Has anyone installed the Ford factory reverse sensors on there older super duties. If is, how much work will it take and where can I buy a complete kit?
Save yourself a ton of money and buy one of the after markets ones from
Backup Sensors on the web. I looked at adding on my 2008 F-550. It was going to cost $100/per sensor and $130 for the box connecting to the PCM. This only gives you a beeper as you get close. I bought one of the back-up sensor system with wireless LED display.. It is slick. No wiring to the cab and comes with a LCD read out on distance both sides and beeper. Cost is $100.... I figured even if it did not last, throw away and buy another one...
It even comes with a hole saw for the holes...
It works great.......
That's an interesting Idea. It would be similar to that highend car collision alert system. It should work, just you would need to play with the angle the sensor sits at.
