What year & model vehicle you got? Installing factory 'TowCommand' or an aftermarket TBC (Trailer Brake Controller) like the Prodigy?

it is a 2003 ford f250. it is not aftermarket it is a ford product. it is oem. but idk if it came with tow option. it has a reciever hitch but that could have been put on at any time.

This auction is for a NEW Ford OEM brake controller harness as pictured. This part number 4L3T-15A416-AB will fit most F150 F250 and F350 with the trailer tow option

Do you have a link to the auction? If you are talking about what I think you are, that is about $12 too much.

The harness should have come with the truck. But the other end where the harness plugs into, should be under the dash.Pull the cover out from under the steering wheel.(the one with the 4 plastic locks) then when you have that off look over to the right, the plug will be clipped to a cross member.

I have a spare one of those too if you need it. You should be able to get one at just about any trailer equipment store though for less than $10. Also, what kind of brake controller are you installing. Tekonsha makes a harness that plugs right into the truck and the prodigy without even splicing anything and I think it's around $10 too.

Just noticed the 05-07 one is different so mine won't work for you, but here is a link to one for $10.

Most aftermarket trailer brake controllers have the correct plug already installed for your truck.
But I looked, and I have the same part, made by Hoppy, that will fit your truck. Somehow I got an extra one. www dot trailerwiring dot com. Products, support, lookup by part number.
Hoppy PN 47705
You can have it for the price of postage from Delaware.

You only need this harness if you are installing an electric brake controller. You don't need it if you are using a flat 4 wiring connector at the back of the truck.
