Were or what is the best way to set up a plug for the trailer wiring with a goose-neck? I have the factory 7 wire plug and don't want to go chopping into the wire. A few people have said not to just hang it over the tailgate because it can rub the paint plus can get caught when ding sharp turns.
There is a T that plugs into your trucks wiring and has about 7 foot of cable so you can add another 7 way plug in the bed. I found it for another member a while back, I'll see if I can find it again.
I have seen them installed under one of the rear post holes down near the bottom. A hole will have to be cut for the plug to recess up into. With the flip up cover on the plug, everything will look nice and neat.
