Oil pressure

i replaced just the sender. my oil pump is good and i had good pressure so i didn't see the need to go nuts. if it works it works, that's good enough for me. As for the location of the sending unit, i looked up a diagram on autozone.com and it helped a little. i have a 91 4.0L and the sending unit was on the drivers side of the engine block. if you get underneath the truck and follow the oil pan towards the front of the engine you can't miss it. wish i could be more specific, but as long as you know what the sending unit looks like it's hard too miss.
