Regen every 50 Miles?

Hello, Just wondering how often you all are noticing how often your tucks are going into Regen mode. Mine goes into Regen at approx every 50 Miles almost like clockwork. I called the service manager and he told me it was normal. When I notice it is in regen and I arrive at my destination I will leave the truck idleing and let it finish ( takes about 10 minutes ) and I don't park it near anything because the exhaust is soo HOT I don't want to melt the car parked next to it. If I turn it off during regen mode it makes a Whoop Whoop sound. Other than that the truck runs very good and strong

Thats seem more than normal from what I've been readin here and experienced myself. Mine regens about once every tank to tank and a half. (650-900 miles) If I lean on the turbos more it regens more often, but never every 50 miles.

Do you do a lot of stop and go driving?

Are you burning ULSD 15ppm? Higher sulfur content (500ppm) could clog the DPF sooner causing shorter intervals between regens

Yes only ULSD. I live in So California and do alot of around town driving and sitting in the wonderful parking lots we call freeways here. I guess this motor need to be run WFO once in a while to clean out the filter. Kind of hard to do here because the freeways are always so cloged up. I can't wait to take it on a long trip.

Don,
I picked up my F350 with a the 6.4 L Diesel a few weeks ago. First re-generation was at about 265 km and the second one wa at about 650 km. Every 50 miles seems a bit frequent to me.

Definitely take a road trip to where you can get on an empty highway....say utah or nevada and just let her rip.....safely of course.

Mine goes every 200-300 miles but only goes for about 10-12 seconds from what I can tell.
