Whistle Noise?
Hey All is anyone experiencing a whistle / wind blowing noise when you get on the throttle from a stop or getting on the throttle from about 20 mph? I have a F350 with the 6.4 and it makes a whistle noise ( kind of like when you crack your window open and drive down the street ) I called the dealer and talked to the service advisor and he told me that was normal. He said it was extra pressure blow by from the turbo? I have both the 7.3 and the 6.0 and I never heard anything like this except for the turbo whine noise when it spools up. Just wondering if he is feeding me a bunch of bull or is anyone else know about this. Thanks

possible boost leak, when i bought my 6.0 it had a boost leak, i had never heard a 6.0 before so i just thought it was normal for the longest time, the sound it made was similar to what you describe because it was just air blowing out of a hole

Is it coming from the engine area? I test drove a black 08 250 before purchasing mine, but when test driving it, I noticed a very noticable whistle but it was coming from the outside mirror on drivers side. It was very irritating, glad mine doesn't do it.

I've been hearing that whistle noise. It only happens the first few minutes of driving. At first it sounded like it was the left mirror or window seal but It might be a "very faint" alternator whine that is coming out of the left mid or tweeter when the battery is not at 100% and is charging.
