Rad: I Distribute both Superchips and DiabloSport Chips for this site. I am not exactly sure how to answer your question, but, I'll try. Neither company would change the operating parameters enough to hurt your engine or transmission. The chips are similar in that they have only a certain number of adjustments that can be made on a gas engine. The biggest difference is in the physical construction. Superchip fits outside the ecu a bit and we have a bit of trouble with them being pushed out by the ecu bracket. On all F-150 based vehicles, such as the Expedition, and all F150's the ecu is mounted in the exact same place, same problem. This is why we recommend that you tape the Superchip in place. The DiabloSport Chip fits almost entirely inside the ecu with no parts sticking out to be hit by the bracket. I feel that it is strictly a matter of your personal preference. We have tested both here in numerous vehicles. I would be completely happy with either. Niether would give you an unpleasant shift.
Thanks
Danny
