Anyone going to do a shoot out of these 2 units? I'm ready to buy, but since the DiabloSport Predator is out now I would like to see a real world test to see which is the best.

 

What vehicle and engine?

 

i have the diablo predator. i have it in my 4.6L and its like a whole differnt world now. the truck absolutly just moves. the only think i would like to make sure is normal (i guess this would be a question for Ken) when i start the truck the idel goes way up to about 2000 RPM then after a very short time it goes down to 1000 RPM then after a short time down to normal idel. is this normal for when the performance tune is loaded into the truck??

 

2004 4.6 F150. I was all set to buy the Superchips, but it looks like the Diablo has a lot more functionality.

i have a 2002 but the hp and torque are the same in both trucks. after installing the performance tune from diablo i noticed a big diffrence. it was well worth the money and a friend of mine is going to get one for his 2004 mustang.

OK...how about fuel economy? Any better? Any worse?

 

MPG is alot better than it use to be. if your driving habits do not change you will notice it right away. i have not figured out what my MPG is exactly but i noticed it is alot better just by watching the gauge with my nomal driving.

 

For me I need something that you just load and go like the 87 octane and 91 octane program. Changing all these parameters such as shift points and things for someone like me would be disasterous. I would definitely screw something up.

 

Both products will do that. Both products will also allow you to adjust shift points if you want to.

 

you dont have to mess with the shift points. just use the performance tune and change it for what octane gas you want to use. its pretty easy to do.

 

i have a 02 harley f150 and i have a diablo predator tuner installed and im tottaly stoked on the gains and the increase hp and torque...

 

i bet your gains are great cause it can take advantage of that supercharger.
