I made the switch to synthetic this change, Rot T syn, 5-40. I wish i did it a while back, the truck runs smoother and more quiet. I cant tell on egts yet but i would assume they will be bout the same.
One odd thing i noticed that i could use some experience on is, with the CCV mod, im completely used to regular oils smell, but it seems like synthetic smells different, AM I CRAZY???
If you dont have the ccv mod, would this affect how the exhaust smells? Ive been running castrol for about 70k in mine, and i like the tail pipe smell lol, but ive been considering going to synthetic for obvious reasons. Just curious.
EDIT: The way it smells now is like what my dads 86 KW with a 3406B in it. I think he ran castrol then too, so maybe thats why?
