Need Help FAST!!

Alright ... I am getting ready to head out on our trip for vacation and I plug in my programmer ( edge evolution ... not juice version) and it gets 48% through its reading and it freezes up! I can't get it to reset or shut off.

what happens if I unplug the programmer right now? It is not in program mode just yet, it is in the "reading" stage.

Hope someone can answer quickly!

Yank it out. You can reset the truck by pulling the batteries for a while if need be but reading is not rewriting.

Nope its just reading it. You should be able to fire it up no problem. Wait a few minutes for more opionions to come in.

It shouldn't, if it was only reading the pcm, although I am not 100% on that. I had a friend open my door when I was reading with my Predator and it froze up, so I unplugged it and started again and it was fine. Hope you dont get stuck while trying to leave.

Well I just unplugged the thing and it seems to be Ok. Started up fine and no SES lights or anything. I was just worried because I remember in the Edge users guide, it said to not unplug during programming or it would disable the PCM. I wonder why the damn thing froze?

Well since I don't want anymore probs .... I think I'll just leave well enough alone and not use the thing anymore.

Make sure you turn off everything you can, radio, fan, chargers, etc... could have been some current draw that caused the tuner to hang.
