Here is my computer box code:
"YC3T", 2000 PSD 2WD F250
Does both Superchips and Diablosport make a chip spec'd for me.
Also, I am wondering about the "tunability" of the Diablo chip.
My truck is stock now and I intend on putting a chip in. Do I need to do any tuning to the chip? Are they set to stock specs and tuning takes place otherwise? I do plan on lifting my truck, 2"-3" with larger tires(after the moneytree blossoms). Will tuning need to take place then?
Thanks,
Barno
That is not the code we need for programming. The code we use is a 4 digit, 3 letters and a number,,ie. NVK5 PMT2
something like this. The code should be at the FRONT of the drivers door, if not there, it will be on the ecu located on the drivers side kick panel.I am not sure what you mean about the tunability of both chips. The programs are written by engineers at both factories and may be altered by having a custom program written for your specific application. There are very few mods on a PSD that require custom programming. We can custom program for larger tires, this will correct your speedometer.
Thanks
Danny
Danny,
How does "UKN1" sound?, is that in the database for PSD? That was on a little sticker on the front of the driver's side door. The tunability was something I read about on the Diablosport website. Mr. Payne wrote me that "YC3T" was correct. Should I get a third opinion?
Thanks,
Barno
Bingo, UKN1 is the code we need. You will really not need any mods other than a chip unless you just want the truck to sound different. I have extreme programs that would raise the engine by over 100hp, with no other changes. This tells you that the truck is not intake limited, nor is it exhaust limited. Just let me know how much weight you tow and your objective, ie. mileage, speed, power, whatever. Feel free to call 1-877-399-6417. Please remind me that we spoke on the forum at Ford-Truck.com. Thanks
