on the topic of gt40 heads .

Aside frome problem with exhaust manifolds. Are these heads intake spacific? Or is the intake valley the same? I have Maf on my 94 F150 now . What would have to be changed if want to use the intake? I have read of flipping the top portion ETC. But are the TB wiring set up about the same?

The reason is I have access to 2 96 explores . And a short block waiting to havethe head put on it.

Intake side of the P heads is the same, no differences there. But if you have '96 Explorers, they'll have the regular GT40 heads, not the P heads.

You're talking about using the Explorer intake on your F150? The intake runners are shorter and you'd probably lose some bottom end. I believe the throttle bodies on all the aforementioned intakes point to the passenger side. You're probably thinking of the earlier non-H.O. vs. H.O. passenger car intakes, where the non-H.O. had the TB on the driver's side...

The intakes can be put on facing either way.
