My '06 F350 w/V10 seems to have an muffler rattle at shutdown especially. My guess is that there is at least one baffle broken. I tried a search for other instances of this happening thinking that I had seen the subject before but couldn't find again. I have two questions:
1. Have broken mufflet baffles been a problem with these 3 valve trucks?
2. Are there manufacturers other then Banks that have a single pipe replacement system - don't want duals. This F350 has a sway bar so a Gibson (used on earlier trucks) can't be used.
The heat shields on the exhaust are pretty notorious for rattling, I would check them before assuming it is a broken baffle, if you haven't already. I removed them on my 99 in order to get rid of the rattle.
