Found one of those old bug deflectors at Goodwill (of all places) the other day, it was missing the mounting hardware, I went and looked at a couple diffrent stores, and no one knows where I can get the hardware, or if its even made anymore... I tried looking this thing up on the internet but haven't had much luck... If knows where I can get the hardware for this deflector, or has an idea on how I could mount it with some stuff in the garage, I'd appriciate it! I like the design of these old deflectors much better than the new ones!!!
...Included some pictures of the thing...
don't mind the spam... lol
Its never been used, theres even still the protective plastic coating on the thing... The only thing I can see to mount it with is that ridge on the bottom, I think its designed to slide onto something...
They just had 1/8 think x1"wide flat metal bent to fit up under your hood . Use steel as alum will bend under wind pressure. Just used 3/16 screws to hold it to hood. Most I had had 6 mounts. They had a special screw with head to fit in groove
I used these (well a guy made them up road) in the 80's had trucks name painted on it. I will say allot easier to clean behind and they hold up well.
