I want new seats.

Hey all.
I have an `88 F250 XLT Lariat extra cab. I want to take out the bench front seat and replace it with a pair of buckets and maybe a center console. Is this something I can do easily or do I have to do all kinds of welding, drilling and boltingÉ

Thanks.

If you get seats from a Bronco or Explorer in your year range it won't be a very hard job. Your mounting holes should match up on the outside and you'll only have to drill new ones for the inner seat mounts. It's recommended that you brace the new ones with 1/4" plate on the top and bottom too. Console holes will depend on which one you get.

Lots of threads on this in the "87-96" forum and you'll see all kinds of seats being used....In those cases it's a lot more measuring and fitting "etc". Try a search there.

Welcome to the forum too!!

Any bases /seat from 80 -97 (F350 ) Will bolt in Bronco or truck . They also are using explorer seats as new as 2002 that with light fabbing will go in well. But if you find bronco truck bucket bases and put flat steel plate on top you can fab any seat to fit.

Dont forget to get the inner seat belts they stand up so you don't have to reach for belt.

GOOD LUCK LOST
