coolant filter
due to problems with cavitation on the 7.3s i was thinking maybe it would benefit if i rigged up some sort of coolant filter like the big trucks have. keep the coolant nice and clean letting all that additives work as they should. has anyone ever done this ?

I'd have to install 3 of them on my radiator!! Even after adding 2 gallons of coolant right after I bought the truck a year ago, it still looks like mud water is running through the radiator! I've thought about doing a flush, but I'm scared that a rust plug will break loose and then the radiator would leak!! That would be just my luck!

I installed one on my sons truck in the same place as the one in Oilburners. However I did not buy all the plumbing he used. I purchsed the filter kit, 2 -5/8" tees and necessary hoseclamps at Napa. I also purchased one ball valve and 2 brass rubberhose adapters at a hardware store. It was an easy installation and I can close one side to remove the filter though there will be some loss from the return side.
