Diablo Chip
I installed a Diablo Chip and from 0-60 without was 13 seconds. From 0-60 with the chip 10.5 seconds. Shifting changed a lot. Two questions (1) it shifts really hard from drive to OD. (2) when you really hammer on it the service engine light comes on. It goes off after you turn the key off and doesn't come back on. Any help ? I don't want to hurt anything. Truck had 2400 miles when chip was installed.

Ivan: Give me a call. I can re-program and soften the shift a bit. I can also stop the "Service Engine Soon" light from coming on. We have several prograzms that will work in your truck. Just to give you an idea of what is happening. The light is coming on because the chip is raising the boost above the alarm point in the ecu. This is why the light only comes on under hard acceleration.
The hard ##### is caused by the chip raising the fluid pressure in the tranny. We can soften that a bit by lowering the tranny fluid pressure with the program.
The PMT2 has been one of the most inconsistent codes yet for Ford. Some trucks shift fine with that program, and some shift hard. Some run fine at that boost pressure, some go into alarm state. Who knows what Ford has planned for us next????
