That good to know. still think that 120cc must be a flow rate not just a volume of flow. 120cc is a lot to flow that quick. Even if you triple the numbers I've seen for injector pulse width that is still less than a hundreth of a second.
I'm playing Wikipedia and posting the following as being the correct version! If anyone comes across any data that contradicts this version, please play Wikipedia with me, and let me know of any needed corrections.
IMSV=Injector Maximum Stroke Volume, mm3
AA....90 mm3 single shot
AB...120 mm3 Split shot (Early 99)
AD...140 mm3 Split shot
AC...160 mm3 Single shot
Stage-1's...basically same as AC's
Stage-2's...180 mm3 single shots
stage-3's....215-250 mm3 single shot hybrids
BD...250 mm3 single shot
I'm using this version of the data in my new model to calculate the IMVFF=Injector Maximum Volume Fuel Flow, gal/hr=gph, as IMVFF= (4)(60)(2.642x10^-7)(IMSV)(RPM)=(0.00006341)(IMSV)(RPM) in GPH, where 4 is because of 4 strokes per rev, 60 converts from min to hr, and 1mm3=2.642x10^-7 gal. I then use IMVFF to normalize the actual calculated VFF in my model as (VFF/IMVFF)%, to make sure that the injectors aren't limiting the VFF in my RWHP calculation.
just thought of another way to look at this adn show that 120cc has to be max flow rate, look at a motor cycle engine you know like say a 125 cc dirt bike, now try to figure out how to put 8 of those under your valve covers
I am thinking they are rated like a carb would be, or the older gas injectors were rated at lbs/hr more than likely. I am guessing (just a guess have no proof but it would make sense) they are rated at CC per minute kind of like a carb is rated CFM (cubic feet per minute)
