I have noticed that since joining this board there are a ton of "post *****s" on here. If you ask three questions, some will make three post to answer them instead of combining into one post. My guess this is in order to increase their post count. I see some outrageous high post numbers here as compared to some of the other boards. Also, this practice would not be tolerated on many of the other boards. I guess the thinking is that if you have a high post count it makes what you say more credible to some.
Sorry I don't have any armless/legless jokes, but try this one:
Dip goes up to window and orders a pizza. The clerk asks the customer if he would like his pizza sliced into 4 pieces, or would he prefer six pieces. The dip thinks a minute and says, "Naw, just make it 4, I don't think I can eat 6." jd

Let me state right now that probably me more than anyone on the site... EDITS their posts to add things instead of posting again.
If I did what you mentioned my post count would be 30-40% higher.
and then add the posts that have been purged .....add another 2000.
There are cases when someone posts an alternate topic..these posts have to be quoted and replied to on their own.
