Make sure you connected the spark plug wires in the correct order, and make sure you set the gap right on the plugs.

Well come to FTE '

Did you swap them one at time? I had a 93 302 that had old firing order. I just went by the book (same as 351 ) when puting new intake on And truck ran bad. Check to make sure order is right and for crossfire.
You may have bad wire even new, check with ohm meter to see. Check for leaks on upper plunium if you had it loose. And elect. conections

you also may have bumped a vacuum line and knocked it off or a elect. plug.

what kind of wires and plugs did you use and how badly is it running?

I agree with the other posters, check the wire order (maybe a little more detail on how it's actually running ). In addition, be sure each "snaps" in place at both the distributor and spark plug end.

I changed my wires and plugs a while back and was a little disappointed in the idle. my truck usually is so quiet you can only here air moving from the fan and the engine doesn't eve shake a bit. but it was just a little vibration at idle. I dinked with it for a few weeks rechecked the wires plugs and everything then I remembered that I did not put the dielectric grease on the cables so I was going to do a compression test anyway it came out 180 in all six cold and dry. when i put every thing back I used the dielectric on the insides of both ends of the cables when I started it my purrr was back and every thing was fine.

the grease helps the wires to slide on and snap into place then seals out moisture. I most not have been getting one wire snapped all the way on.

i just figured that dielectric grease was used.

it comes already on motorcraft wires and is clear in all the manuals, which everyone should have, to use dielectric grease

I don't mean to steal the thread, but why do yall always insist on Motorcraft parts? Aren't other top brands (Fram, Bosch, Autolight) just as good without the price?

+1 on Motorcraft wires not being greased. I've installed 3 or 4 sets the last couple of weeks and none of them have had grease in them.

As stated, Motorcraft works best. I've tried other stuff and saving a few bucks isn't worth not trusting your turck to get you somewhere and back.

I've had several plugs come out of the package bad. About 4 or 5 tune ups ago I had to put 3 or 4 plugs in #3 before I got one that worked. I suspect the WalMart idiots handled the box they came in pretty roughly and ruined some of them.

Hey! who you callin' a wal-mart idiot - I handle all the parts in my store with the loving care they deserve, Maybe it was the little chineese guy who loaded them on the container ship.
