Has anyone, or does anyone know of anyone, who has had bad luck with a performance chip? My application is a 7.3 power stroke. Only curious!

 

I installed a HyperTech Power Programer on my '99 PSD and had no problems. I was with a guy today that installed the Diablo chip into his PSD and said there was some silver that was on one of the pins that did not let the truck start. He cleaned it off and re-installed, the truck ran fine.

The only thing I have been hearing is that the truck puts out alot more black smoke when you hammer it. But with my HyperTech I did not notice.
