I have done front bags and an IFS kit under the front of my 79, still working on the rest and rear will either be a 4 link or on IRS clip from another car, I currently have both and have not decided yet.
I just added a gallery to explain how I plan to make my bag mounts for my truck (its titled Air bag brackets). Ya'll can take a look at them and tell me if you think it'll work. I plan on just replacing the coil spring with this set up. I'll add drop I-beams later. Thanks
Hey I dropped you a PM...I think it will work, as this is similar to my design. I do not think you will need the spacer tube on the top and bottom. I would recommend using the spacer tube on the bottom, and notch the sides vs. drilling holes for better access for the radius arm nut. I think that spacer tube should be about 2-1/2" tall, and then with a standard 2600# bag that should fit the perfectly in place of the coil spring. You may need to trim some of the flange off the upper stock spring perch to make sure you have no clearance problems through the whole inflation/deflation range. Don't want your bag rubbing. For the upper attachement you can buy a plate, lay it on top of the spring perch and mark around the diameter and then cut out the hole, and weld the new upper plate into the stock spring perch. Your air valve and two studs will bolt directly up to this plate and you should be good to go.
