Question Which programmer?

I currently have the Banks power pack system with Trans command and Ottomind. I am not especially happy with the ottomind part of my system and have been looking into other types of programmers. What do you guys reccomend, bang for the buck. Edge, Hypertech, Diablo, etc? Thanks in advance.

I knew someone would do that. It is possible to change you screen name here and by the way I'm just doing what everone else (such as yourself) monsta, has done in the past. There are over 200 threads relating to this subject on these forums. Maybe you should try the "search button".

OK, I'll bite, what was your old screen name?? How do we know, if we use the "search button", that it's you?? Most of the people on here and I did say most, don't seem pleased w/ programmer's unless it's custom tuned, but evidently you were, so maybe you could share a little info......

And even if something has been discussed ad nauseum, if I have actual experience w/ it, I'll share it. If not, I'll tell people to do a search. Not to be a dick, though........

Alright, I give. I guess trying to save poeple some time and some space on this site aren't in the best interest of the forum users. Once again, I'll take a hike.

Your talking about saving time and space, yet you wasted 4 posts in this thread and still never told anybody anything!! How is sending someone on a wild goose chase saving anyone time?? All we asked for was a one word answer as to the brand of programmer and you couldn't pull it off. See ya, man!! Your a wealth of helpful information!!

To the original poster, I've heard good things about the custom SCT programs and I'm just starting to hear good things about the Diablo, but I don't recall anyone posting any significant gains using it w/ a V10. This is all second hand though. Hopefully SOMEONE w/ real world info will share it w/ all of us. I've kicked the programmer idea around for a while, but it seemed like most people used it for the tranny improvements as the other gains were hardly noticeable, unless you have someone writing custom programs.

I have seen a lot of tuners/programmers online, but the one's that seem to stand out the most are these three:

1. Diablosport http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...=display&pid=3
2. SCT http://rogueperformance.com/WelcometoFredland.html
3. DP http://www.dp-tuner.com/54tuning.htm

Personally, I favor SCT.

v/r,
Phil

Sounds like jolly is a troll - and should go for his hike since he is so reluctant to impart any knowledge he MAY have. Good bye, jolly

O.K. So I guess I need to be a little more specific when I post a thread. I have done a search and come up with more questions than when I started. That is why I posted this thread. Next time I know how to word things. A friend of mine has the Edge system on his PSD and loves it. My electrician has the Edge on his cummins and loves it. I would like to go with the Edge, but I can't find one for the V-10. Even though in my long search I found a few guys talking about them for theirs. Does the V-8 programmer work? I've also heard really good things about the Diablo from a few other friends, and have heard some good things on this site about the SCT and the Hypertech. So with that said what are your opinions on these and what if anything do any fo you know about the Edge for the V-10? Thanks again, in advance.

Programmers

I have also heard the best are sct or diablo. I just recently bought a diablo only becuase the sct is around 400 bucks and I got the diablo from auto anything for 287 with a dicount. Its not a huge difference like everyone wants but I felt a real solid power gain. So you can understand better, I can now spin my 37 12.50 R17s when taking off not that I make that a habit. I couldnt do that before. I heard of good mpg increases but havent checked yet. You can download updates off the diablo site. The part # is U7152. You cant change your speedometer for tire size or gear ratio which kinda sucks but a good programmer all the same. If you havent yet get an intake and exhuast too.

I had a Diablosport installed for about a year, and the only thing I noticed was increased fuel bills due to the requirement for premium gas.
