Temp Control
My truck is a 97 f150 4x4 4.6L w/ 211k miles.
As long as I have had it I have always had a problem with the heater air getting cold after its been hot and if I just turn the **** up and then back to heat or back it off the of the maximum just a tiny bit it will get hot. But the AC has always worked fine.
Now in the beginnings of our southern summer, on max ac w/ the **** all the way to cold the air stays warm until I "jiggle" the **** and then it will cool off.
So when I turn the **** what exactly happens where might the problem be?
thanks.
So in my condition where everything works just when I first start the truck it wanders. Do you think the little white box is broken? I wasn't real clear on that post. But I know I should pop off the black plastic on the tranny hump and find something on the right side near the ac box and watch to see if an actuator arm moves when I adjust temp right?
In addition to that. Here in SC we get 98* days with 93% humidity and with my ac rockin on max its sweet, it blows 27* air and feels awesome. But when I put it on panel and floor it uses air from the outside and it only gets it down to about 40-50 and that just does not cut it. Is there any way I can make it operate on the max setting but blow the air through the panel & floor vent setting?? Thanks
