I'd like to maximize my current modifications, and the Superchip blue module is not up to the task anymore. I have to retard my timing to run mid range and low octane fuel, and the shift points are too firm with the shift kit installed.
I am looking at getting an SCT eliminator 4 stage chip. I'd prefer not to have to take it in to a shop to get tuned.
How accurate and useful are the tunes setup by phone or email order? i.e. if I give them my mods, cam specs, tranny etc. etc. how will the burns be?
Would anyone recommend a company to order the chip and tune from? Any techs you'd recommend me speaking to? I'm not looking for the cheapest, I'd prefer to pay for a company's competence.
Also, any hints on the installation of the switch in my rig? I'd be all ears!
I'd suggest looking into Sniper's special forces or Delta Forces software. It will give you the ability to build your own tunes based on your mods and the available fuel/spark modifiers. I have the SF and I love it.
Mail order custom tunes are pretty close, if your tuner is any good. Nothing compairs to a dynotune though.
