unfortuantely for us 07 expedition owners, none of the tuner companies are developing any type of tuner for our new truck. I have emailed superchips, said check back within a year, emailed sct, which i havent heard back from after two weeks. Contacted sniper, there response was, We are releasing an update for our Special Forces kit in about 10 days which I believe may cover your application. I will know about it later.
I am just wondering am I the only new expedition owner that wants to firm up shift points and get the benefits of a tuner?
Expeditions are not heavily modified platforms. I hate to speak badly about sniper, but they have been promising me that the datalogging will be available next month for the last year. It's a great system, but they are a little slow in releasing products.
I would also susgest checking with Edge, they are working on a lot of 07 applications right now.
SCT ought to be able to handle it, they are already doing 2007 F-150 and its very similar. The 2007's have a larger memory foot-print than the earlier models.
It's very possible that they already have your calibration code built. Your vehicle is new enough there should be a colored sticker on the drivers door, some where near the windshield with your PCM code.
If they don't have the calibration id already the SCT dealer can send you the blank tuner which you use to read in the tune, email it and they he can email you back tunes.

What dealers do you recommend. Dp-tuners seem like they have pretty good service. Any others? I am assuming pricing would be about the same from each dealer?
I am a little ignorant in this aspect, so can those dealers just decompile the .bin or however the file is saved, and then run it through a program to adjust the parameters. Or are they having to poke through the hash/hex with a cheat sheet to make the adjustments?
I believe DP are diesel specialists. Jusnes Modified (Bama Chips) and Troyer Performance both handle gas applications.
Jody has done gas tuning publicly for over a year now. He had done gas tuning for a long time. His specialty is diesel, perhaps, but he is getting very good at gas tuning. My f150 hd has been our test mule for a year and a half. He has done many mustangs as well for our soon to be ex-local mustang speed shop. I guess they are happy they keep calling him to do more tuning.
We will be offering more gas tuning for all brands. Bill Cohron formerly of Edge Products has moved back to the east coast is now working along side Jody as our new calibration engineer. He has been tuning gas vehicles for over 20 years on gas and over ten on diesel's. We welcome Bill and his family to DP.
Ken, we will be right down the road from you starting on monday. Stop by sometime. We would love to meet up with you.
Diane

Thanks for clearing that up about the tuning. I wasn't aware of that.
I just map-quested your location and you'll be about 35 miles away. Very cool. You're not too far from the drag-strip in Commerce, GA. We'll call and hook up with you folks.
