Tranny question

1. Today I started to notice the tranny staying in gear much longer than it usually does.
I run full synthetic fluid and I wasn't pulling anything. The E40D was staying in 2nd both of the times. However, I let it run and it seemed to cool off and problems were gone again. It hasn't done this before today.
2. I went and purchased a tranny cooler and noticed that there are three finned cooling devices on the truck already. Is one a oil cooler? I didn't have long to look so I was wondering.
There is the radiator, another thing I think is the oil cooler and then the AC.

3. I don't have a tranny temp. gauge so I don't know how hot it is but today is the hottest day for the year. 94degrees.

By "3 finned devices" I assume you mean the radiator, AC condensor and the 2nd tranny cooler.

Your truck comes with 2 tranny coolers from the factory. The fluid goes through a cooler in the radiator and then to another cooler you arer probably seeing in the very front. It's about 4-5" by 10-12". Remove that one and replace it with the one you bought.
