Finding GVWR?
I just got a 76 F-250 supercab for 20.00 with a clean title that runs and drives just needs a P/S pump and some minor things. But it only has a vin on the frame and the one on the pinkslip no rating plates. In order for me to register it for farm use i need to know the GVWR. Is there any way to get the GVWR from the vin#?. The vin is F25MKB79881

That picture show the '76 Supercab, 8ft box having either: 6600, 7100, 7500, 8100.
Does the front brake have the dual piston calipers? That's a sure sign that the F250 has a higher GVW package.

What is the actual GVWR?
Want to know for sure?
The R/L front axles have ID numbers on them.
If the S/C has the right axle ID number of D5TA-8-CA or DA it has a GVWR of 8100 lbs.
Left axle ID will be D5TA-9-CA or DA for 8100 lb GVWR.
Post whatever ID code you find. It will lead directly to the correct GVWR that a Super Cab of this vintage has.

Depends on rear axle and tires Jerm.
He said he had the 5300 lbs rear..thus the 2 choices he has.
6100,7100 don't apply in his case.
