Oil Filter question?
So...i went to walmart and bought the motorcraft filter that i always put on my 05 for the last two years of ownership....a fla-1 filter....only to find out that on my 07 its a 820......did i really use the wrong filter for two years or did they change it somewhere between then and now?

yes the 820 is the right filter it happens to be a metric thread I believe 22 by 1.5. I'm using the fl1a motorcraft because I relocated my filter to an easier place to get too plus the fl1a is easier to find in the stores and now there is no mess. Anyone want some pics I will gladly take some and post.

My 04 Lariat 5.4 3V takes the 820S and always has. If you have an 05 5.4 3V it should be 820S not sure where you got the FL-1a into the picture. But that is not correct!

The FL-820s is the right filterford these trucks since 97 . FL1a on your 05 the thread sizes are so different they won't fit. The FL1a is about 1/8'' smaller thread size.The 820s is 22x1.5mm and the 1a is 3/4x16
